Coskami Web & Mobile

At the end of 2014 I took on a freelance project with a start up company named COSKAMI, and they were one of the most fun clients I have ever worked with.

Coskami is a name derived from the words cosplay and kami (which means God in Japanese). So it means Cosplay God. The company's goal is to deliver fresh cosplay news and products to an American audience. It invests heavily in the fun side of Japanese and Anime / Manga culture. My job was to create a brand for the company that would bring forward this culture.

After I branded COSKAMI, I continued to work with the company in 2015 to design a mobile web interface. At this point, the company using the logo I designed, was able to attract over 100,000 followers on Facebook. The company was looking to launch a website of their own, not only to report on media, but to have a shop and other cool features. I was able to use statistics from Coskami's Facebook to design the website. It was discovered that most of Coskami's visitors are on mobile devices, and were from foreign countries. The interface had to be clean and easy to use, but also friendly to both genders. Using these parameters, I set out to design for Coskami. I also researched the company's competitors to get a sense of the audience I'm designing for.
